The CTE supercharger kit was originally developed to use the stock air box; therefore the supercharger inlet on the MP62 was a compromise between fit and performance. Closer examination revealed a sharp change in the direction of the air flow and a shrouding of the opening from the throttle plate at WOT. It is well documented that positive displacement blowers benefit greatly from a low restriction inlet path. Utilizing a larger throttle body exasperates the problem.

We were the first to design a new, straight flow, 6061-T6 billet aluminum inlet that is a bolt on for the MP62 on the Civic Si. The bore is 72mm and will work with the stock Si, TSX, or J35 TB. It will also work with the Skunk 2 72mm TB with our custom mounting bolts. A very popular option has become the J37 TB from the TL/RL AWD or the MDX/ZDX. We created an adapter for the new bolt pattern while keeping the clean look. All adapters use o-rings to seal to the inlet so that no paper gaskets are needed and they are reusable. We provide all new stainless steel hardware with every kit. Installation is clean, simple and instructions are included.

The inlet will also fit on the CT Engineering Supercharger Kit for the 2004-2008 Acura TSX. When combined with a good header/exhaust/cold air intake and CTE stage 2 pulley, independent dyno tests have proven a 25 hp and 10ft/lbs of torque increase when combined with the J37 throttle body.
